Code Ann. § 73-7-35","body":"(1) No person licensed pursuant to this chapter shall practice his or her profession except within the physical confines of a salon/barber shop possessing and displaying a properly executed license issued pursuant to Section 73-7-17 . However, this requirement shall not prevent a person from rendering his or her services to any person who may be confined to his or her home, a hospital, or other place as a result of illness, and cosmetologists and barbers shall be permitted to render their services to deceased persons away from their salon/barber shop.\n\n(2) No salon/barber shop owner licensed pursuant to this chapter shall allow a cosmetologist, barber, esthetician, or nail technician to practice his/her profession in the salon/barber shop without possessing a valid license issued pursuant to this chapter.\n\n(3) Nothing in this section shall prevent a person licensed pursuant to this chapter from rendering his or her services at the physical practice location of a physician, physician's assistant, or advanced practice registered nurse, or require such a practice location to be licensed pursuant to this chapter.","path":["MS Code","Title 73"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"e3bb27c74c430b80d4bd0cbd250e729eaff8025b8cb9070a72722cae8560ee49","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-7-33","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-7-37"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
