Code Ann. § 73-71-3","body":"(1) In its concern with the need to eliminate the fundamental causes of illness and with the need to treat the whole person, the Legislature intends to establish in this chapter a framework for the practice of the art and science of acupuncture.\n\n(2) The purposes of this chapter are to encourage the effective utilization of the skills relative to practitioners of acupuncture by citizens desiring their services; to remove the existing legal constraints that unnecessarily hinder the effective provision of health care services; and to subject individuals practicing acupuncture to regulation and control as a primary and independent health care profession.","path":["MS Code","Title 73"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"224824cf5018a49bae01fe1df025051b64f032594518808e321fe5032d4fcf62","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-71-29","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-71-31"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
