Code Ann. § 73-71-31","body":"(1) Acupuncture practitioners shall comply with all applicable public health laws of this state.\n\n(2) Sanitation practices shall include:\n\n(a) Hands shall be washed with soap and water or other disinfectant between treatment of different patients;\n\n(b) Skin in the area of penetration shall be swabbed with alcohol or other germicidal solution before inserting needles;\n\n(c) Needles and other equipment used in the practice of acupuncture shall be sterilized before using;\n\n(d) Needles and other hazardous waste shall be disposed of in a manner prescribed by law; and\n\n(e) Other sanitation practices shall be observed to insure health and safety of patients, as prescribed by the board.","path":["MS Code","Title 73"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"acdf1328dba29f2d7733285bffd55a56025a5d67f03062ac2c235f3c76b23f96","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-71-3","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-71-33"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
