Code Ann. § 73-71-37","body":"(1) It is unlawful for any person to:\n\n(a) Hold himself or herself out as an acupuncture practitioner unless licensed as provided in this chapter;\n\n(b) Practice acupuncture, or attempt to practice acupuncture, without an active license or as otherwise permitted by board rule established under the authority of this chapter;\n\n(c) Obtain, or attempt to obtain, a license to practice acupuncture by fraud or misrepresentation; or\n\n(d) Permit an employed person to engage in the practice of acupuncture unless the person holds an active license as a practitioner of acupuncture, except as provided by this chapter.\n\n(2) Any person who violates any provision of this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not more than One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00), or by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than six (6) months, or both.","path":["MS Code","Title 73"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"cdfae33227dd49ba2ddcd677cc1e42bae8d7728fedf12798857a9bf0018a2dbd","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-71-35","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-73-71-39"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
