Code Ann. § 75-27-7","body":"The term “ barrel ” shall mean a unit of thirty-one (31) gallons. However, the term “ barrel ,” when used in reference to seafood or parts thereof, shall be the measure defined by ordinance of the Mississippi Commission on Marine Resources under authority of Sections 49-15-1 through 49-15-67, Mississippi Code of 1972 . The term “ ton ” shall mean a unit of two thousand (2,000) pounds avoirdupois weight.
