Code Ann. § 81-1-71","heading":"Reimbursement of travel expenses; annual audit.","body":"The commissioner, all examiners and any employee required to travel shall be allowed expenses incident to the discharge of their official duties while away from their places of residence, and mileage for each mile necessarily traveled in the discharge of their official duties, as provided in Section 25-3-41. Such expenses shall be paid out of the department funds upon vouchers approved by the commissioner, and each voucher for expenses shall be accompanied by an itemized statement of the same.\nThe State Department of Audit shall make an annual audit of the books and records having to do with receipts and expenditures of funds of the department. The chief inspector shall file a copy of his report with the commissioner and the Governor, and insofar as is practicable, the commissioner shall incorporate the exhibits and schedules of receipts and disbursements for each year in his annual report to the Legislature.","path":["Title 81.
