The expenses of such examination shall be borne and paid by the association. The association and the commissioner may from time to time make an examination of the data and payments of assessable insurers or other licensed insurers or agents placing insurance through nonadmitted insurers as it deems prudent. The expenses of such examination shall be borne and paid by the examined party or entity.
