Code Ann. § 9-27-9","body":"(1) Any mental and behavioral health treatment provider directly administering services to a participant shall be licensed by the appropriate state licensing board or hold a current and valid certification by the State Department of Mental Health or other appropriate state agency.\n\n(2) A mental health treatment court shall provide either directly or through referrals, a range of services, including, but not limited to, the following:\n\n(a) Screenings using a valid and reliable screening tool effective for identifying individuals with mental and behavioral health issues for eligibility and appropriate services;\n\n(b) Clinical assessment;\n\n(c) Referral to appropriate level of treatment services;\n\n(d) Counseling and treatment for co-occurring substance use disorders;\n\n(e) Employment Services;\n\n(f) Education and/or vocational services; and\n\n(g) Community service coordination, care and support.","path":["MS Code","Title 9"],"source_url":"https://legislature.ms.gov/","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:17Z","sha256":"a15fb487f1a320b0005e5bf3e7e833b08c07f39423ec8753de9edea5b4ab91dd","source_id":"us-ms","stale":false,"prev":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-9-27-7","next":"us-ms/miss.-code-ann.-9-1-101"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
