Code Ann. § 93-20-306","heading":"Rights at hearing.","body":"(1) At a hearing held under Section 93-20-303, the respondent may:\n(a) Present evidence and subpoena witnesses and documents;\n(b) Examine witnesses; and\n(c) Otherwise participate in the hearing.\n(2) Unless excused by the court for good cause shown, a proposed guardian must attend a hearing under Section 93-20-303.\n(3) A hearing under Section 93-20-303 must be closed upon request of the respondent and a showing of good cause.\n(4) Any person may request to participate in a hearing under Section 93-20-303. The court may grant the request, with or without a hearing, on determining that the best interest of the respondent will be served.
