Code Ann. § 99-15-28","heading":"Accused entitled to copy of affidavit or indictment without cost.","body":"Any person alleged to have committed a criminal offense in violation of a state law, or ordinance of any political subdivision, which upon conviction carries a sentence of any length of time or fine of any amount, shall be entitled, upon request made by such person or their counsel, to receive a copy of the affidavit or indictment at any time after such affidavit is filed or indictment returned, provided that any person alleged to have committed a felony shall not be entitled to receive a copy of the indictment until after his arrest or apprehension, and such indictment shall be governed according to the provisions of Section 99-7-13, Mississippi Code of 1972, until such time as the person is arrested or apprehended.
