Code Ann. § 99-23-17","heading":"Grand jury to inquire and report on breach of bonds.","body":"It shall be the duty of the clerk of the circuit court, at each term of court, to deliver to the grand jury all peace bonds that have been filed with him or in his office within two (2) years then next past, which bonds shall be returned by the grand jury to said clerk before its final adjournment. It shall be the duty of the grand jury to inquire into whether or not there has been a breach of said bonds, and to notify the district attorney of any breaches. The grand jury shall examine the person at whose instance the bond was required, if he can be found and examined; and it may examine other witnesses. If it finds that there has been a breach of the bond, it shall furnish the district attorney a list of the witnesses by whom the facts can be established.","path":["Title 99.
