{"data":{"id":"us-mt/1-1-216","jurisdiction":"us-mt","citation":"1-1-216","heading":"Legal holidays and business days.","body":"(1) The following are legal holidays in the state of Montana:\n(a) each Sunday;\n(b) New Year's Day, January 1;\n(c) Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the third Monday in January;\n(d) Presidents' Day, the third Monday in February;\n(e) Memorial Day, the last Monday in May;\n(f) Independence Day, July 4;\n(g) Labor Day, the first Monday in September;\n(h) Indigenous Peoples' Day and Columbus Day, the second Monday in October;\n(i) Veterans' Day, November 11;\n(j) Thanksgiving Day, the fourth Thursday in November;\n(k) Christmas Day, December 25;\n(l) state general election day.\n(2) (a) If any of the holidays in subsections (1)(b) through (1)(l) fall on a Sunday, the Monday following is a holiday.\n(b) If any of the holidays in subsections (1)(b) through (1)(l) fall on a Saturday, the Friday preceding is a holiday.\n(c) All other days are business days.","path":["TITLE 1.
