{"data":{"id":"us-mt/25-13-610","jurisdiction":"us-mt","citation":"25-13-610","heading":"Tracing exempt personal property.","body":"(1) If money or other property exempt under 25-13-608 and 25-13-609 has been sold or has been lost, damaged, or destroyed and the judgment debtor has been indemnified for the property, the debtor is entitled for 6 months to an exemption of proceeds that are traceable, such as in a bank or savings account.\n(2) Earnings exempt under 25-13-614 remain exempt for 45 days after receipt by and while in the possession of the judgment debtor in a form into which the exempt earnings are traceable.\n(3) Proceeds are traceable under this section by application of the principles of first-in first-out, last-in first-out, or any other reasonable basis for tracing selected by the judgment debtor.","path":["TITLE 25.
