{"data":{"id":"us-mt/26-1-1104","jurisdiction":"us-mt","citation":"26-1-1104","heading":"Validity of unsworn declaration.","body":"(1) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (2), if a law of this state requires or permits use of a sworn declaration, an unsworn declaration meeting the requirements of this part has the same effect as a sworn declaration.\n(2) This part does not apply to:\n(a) a deposition;\n(b) an oath of office;\n(c) an oath required to be given before a specified official other than a notary public;\n(d) a declaration to be recorded pursuant to Title 70; or\n(e) an oath required for a self-proved will under 72-2-524.","path":["TITLE 26.
