{"data":{"id":"us-mt/40-15-119","jurisdiction":"us-mt","citation":"40-15-119","heading":"Cancellation of substitute address -- cessation of duty.","body":"(1) Except as provided in subsections (2) and (3), the department shall cancel the substitute address of a participant 4 years after the date on which the department approved the participant's application.\n(2) The department may not cancel the substitute address of a participant if, before the substitute address of the participant is canceled, the participant shows to the satisfaction of the department that the participant remains in imminent danger of becoming a victim.\n(3) The department may cancel the substitute address of a participant at any time if:\n(a) the participant changes the participant's confidential address from the confidential address listed in the application and fails to notify the department within 48 hours after the change of confidential address; or\n(b) the department determines that the participant knowingly provided false or incorrect information in the application.\n(4) When the department cancels the substitute address of a participant, the duty of the department to provide the services described in 40-15-115(2) to the participant ceases.","path":["TITLE 40.
