{"data":{"id":"us-mt/44-4-1502","jurisdiction":"us-mt","citation":"44-4-1502","heading":"Eligibility for benefit or service.","body":"(1) A victim of human trafficking is eligible for a benefit or service available through the state, including compensation under Title 53, chapter 9, part 1, regardless of immigration status.\n(2) A child who has engaged in commercial sexual activity is eligible for a benefit or service available through the state, including compensation under Title 53, chapter 9, part 1, regardless of immigration status or factors described in 53-9-125.\n(3) As soon as practicable after a first encounter with a person who reasonably appears to be a victim of human trafficking or a child who has engaged in commercial sexual activity, law enforcement shall notify the appropriate state agency that the person may be eligible for a benefit or service under the laws of this state.\n(4) For the purposes of this part, the terms \"commercial sexual activity\" and \"human trafficking\" have the meanings provided in 45-5-701.","path":["TITLE 44.
