{"data":{"id":"us-mt/45-7-304","jurisdiction":"us-mt","citation":"45-7-304","heading":"Failure to aid peace officer.","body":"(1) A peace officer may order a person to cooperate when it is reasonable for the peace officer to enlist the cooperation of that person in:\n(a) effectuating or securing an arrest of another pursuant to 46-6-402; or\n(b) preventing the commission by another of an offense.\n(2) A person commits the offense of failure to aid a peace officer if the person knowingly refuses to obey an order described in subsection (1).\n(3) A person convicted of the offense of failure to aid a peace officer shall be fined not to exceed $500 or be imprisoned in the county jail for a term not to exceed 6 months, or both.","path":["TITLE 45.
