{"data":{"id":"us-mt/46-20-103","jurisdiction":"us-mt","citation":"46-20-103","heading":"Scope of appeal by state.","body":"(1) Except as otherwise specifically authorized, the state may not appeal in a criminal case.\n(2) The state may appeal from any court order or judgment the substantive effect of which results in:\n(a) dismissing a case;\n(b) modifying or changing the verdict as provided in 46-16-702(3)(c);\n(c) granting a new trial;\n(d) quashing an arrest or search warrant;\n(e) suppressing evidence;\n(f) suppressing a confession or admission;\n(g) granting or denying change of venue; or\n(h) imposing a sentence that is contrary to law.","path":["TITLE 46.
