{"data":{"id":"us-mt/5-12-203","jurisdiction":"us-mt","citation":"5-12-203","heading":"Term -- officers -- compensation.","body":"(1) Appointments are for 2 years, and a member of the committee shall serve until the member's term of office as a legislator ends or until a successor is appointed, whichever occurs first.\n(2) The committee shall elect one of its members as presiding officer and other officers that it considers necessary. If a party has a majority of both chambers, the presiding officer must be from that party.\n(3) Members of the committee are entitled to receive compensation and expenses as provided in 5-2-302.","path":["TITLE 5.
