{"data":{"id":"us-mt/50-18-107","jurisdiction":"us-mt","citation":"50-18-107","heading":"Powers and duties of health officers.","body":"(1) If found necessary or desirable to protect public health, state and local health officers or their authorized deputies or agents shall:\n(a) examine or have examined persons reasonably suspected of being infected with a sexually transmitted disease;\n(b) require persons infected to report for treatment to a reputable physician and continue treatment, which may be at public expense, until cured;\n(c) isolate or quarantine persons who refuse examination or treatment;\n(d) investigate sources of infection of a sexually transmitted disease.\n(2) No one but the state or local health officer may terminate the isolation or quarantine.
