{"data":{"id":"us-mt/50-73-306","jurisdiction":"us-mt","citation":"50-73-306","heading":"Operator to give notice of happening of certain occurrences.","body":"Immediate notice must be conveyed to the department by the operator interested:\n(1) when an accident occurs whereby a person receives serious or fatal injury;\n(2) when work is commenced to sink a shaft, slope, or drift either for hoisting or escape purposes;\n(3) when there is intent to abandon a mine or to reopen an abandoned mine;\n(4) upon the appearance of a large body of firedamp in a mine, whether accompanied by explosion or not, and upon the occurrence of a serious fire within the mine or on the surface around the mine;\n(5) when the workings of a mine are approaching near an abandoned mine believed to contain accumulation of water or gas; or\n(6) upon the accidental closing or intended abandonment of a regularly established passageway to an escape outlet.","path":["TITLE 50.
