Stat. § 1-569.20","heading":"Change of award by arbitrator.","body":"(a)\tOn motion to an arbitrator by a party to an arbitration proceeding, the arbitrator may modify or correct an award:\n(1)\tUpon a ground stated in G.S. 1-569.24(a)(1) or (a)(3);\n(2)\tBecause the arbitrator had not made a final and definite award upon a claim submitted by the parties to the arbitration proceeding; or\n(3)\tTo clarify the award.\n(b)\tA motion under subsection (a) of this section shall be made and notice given to all parties within 20 days after the moving party receives notice of the award.\n(c)\tA party to the arbitration proceeding shall give notice of any objection to the motion within 10 days after receipt of the notice.\n(d)\tIf a motion to the court is pending under G.S. 1-569.22, 1-569.23, or 1-569.24, the court may submit the claim to the arbitrator to consider whether to modify or correct the award:\n(1)\tUpon a ground stated in G.S. 1-569.24(a)(1) or (a)(3);\n(2)\tBecause the arbitrator had not made a final and definite award upon a claim submitted by the parties to the arbitration proceeding; or\n(3)\tTo clarify the award.\n(e)\tAn award modified or corrected pursuant to this section is subject to G.S. 1-569.19(a), 1-569.22, 1-569.23, and 1-569.24.
