Stat. § 10B-117","heading":"Notarial components of electronic document.","body":"In performing an electronic or remote electronic notarial act, all of the following components shall be attached to, or logically associated with, the electronic document by the electronic notary, all of which shall be immediately perceptible and reproducible in the electronic record to which the notary's electronic signature is attached:\n(1)\tThe notary's name, state, and county of commissioning exactly as stated on the commission issued by the Secretary.\n(2)\tThe words \"Electronic Notary Public\" or Electronic Notary Public Utilizing Communication Technology.\n(3)\tThe words State of North Carolina.\n(4)\tThe expiration date of the commission.\n(5)\tThe notary's electronic signature.\n(6)\tThe completed wording of one of the following notarial certificates:\na.\tAcknowledgment.\nb.\tJurat.\nc.\tVerification or proof.\nd.\tRepealed by Session Laws 2022-54, s. 2(g), effective July 1, 2024.
