Instruction shall be provided once during elementary school, once during middle school, and twice during high school. Instruction on this topic shall include at least the following:\n(1)\tNegative effects of social media on mental health, including addiction.\n(2)\tThe distribution of misinformation on social media.\n(3)\tMethods of manipulating behavior using social media.\n(4)\tThe permanency of information shared online.\n(5)\tHow to maintain personal security.\n(6)\tHow to identify cyberbullying, predatory behavior, and human trafficking on the internet.\n(7)\tHow to report suspicious behavior encountered on the internet.\n(8)\tPersonal and interpersonal skills or character education that enhances individual level protective factors and mitigates or reduces risk-taking or harmful behavior.
