Stat. § 130A-221","heading":"Department authorized to establish program.","body":"(a)\tThe Department may establish and administer a program for the detection and prevention of glaucoma and diabetes and the care and treatment of persons with glaucoma and diabetes. The program may include:\n(1)\tEducation of patients, health care personnel and the public;\n(2)\tDevelopment and expansion of services to persons with glaucoma and diabetes; and\n(3)\tProvision of supplies, equipment and medication for detection and control of glaucoma and diabetes.\n(b)\tThe Commission is authorized to adopt rules necessary to implement the program.
