Stat. § 130A-324","heading":"Notice of noncompliance; failure to perform monitoring; variances and exemptions.","body":"Whenever a public water system:\n(1)\tIs not in compliance with the drinking water rules;\n(2)\tFails to perform an applicable testing procedure or monitoring required by the drinking water rules;\n(3)\tIs subject to a variance granted for inability to meet a maximum contaminant level requirement;\n(4)\tIs subject to an exemption; or\n(5)\tFails to comply with the requirements prescribed by a variance or exemption,\nthe supplier shall as soon as possible, but not later than 48 hours after discovery, notify the Department and give public notification as prescribed by the drinking water rules.
