Stat. § 130A-453.41","heading":"Definitions.","body":"The following definitions apply in this Article:\n(1)\tDEHP. - Di(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate.\n(2)\tHealth care practitioner. - An individual who is authorized to practice some component of the healing arts by a license, permit, certificate, or registration issued by a State licensing agency or board.\n(3)\tIntentionally added DEHP. - DEHP that a manufacturer has intentionally added to a product and that has a functional or technical effect on the product.\n(4)\tIntravenous solution container. - A container used to house medicine, fluid, or nutrition therapy that is intravenously delivered to a patient in a hospital, outpatient facility, or other health care facility.\n(5)\tIntravenous tubing. - Tubing used to intravenously administer fluids, medication, or nutrients directly to an adult, child, or infant.\n(6)\tOrtho-phthalate. - A class of chemicals that are esters of ortho-phthalic acid, including DEHP or any of the following:\na.\tBenzyl butyl phthalate (BBP).\nb.\tDibutyl phthalate (DBP).\nc.\tDicyclohexyl phthalate (DCHP).\nd.\tDiethyl phthalate (DEP).\ne.\tDiisobutyl phthalate (DIBP).\nf.\tDiisodecyl phthalate (DIDP).\ng.\tDiisononyl phthalate (DINP).\nh.\tDi-n-hexyl phthalate (DnHP).\ni.\tDi-n-octyl phthalate (DNOP).\nj.\tDi-n-pentyl phthalate (DnPP).\nk.\tDiisoheptyl phthalate (DIHP).\n(7)\tUnintentionally added DEHP. - DEHP in an intravenous solution container or intravenous tubing product that is not used for functional or technical effect on the product.
