Stat. § 143-254.2","heading":"Enforcement of local laws.","body":"(a)\tIt shall be the duty and responsibility of the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission to enforce all local acts heretofore or hereinafter enacted respecting game animals, fur-bearing animals and birds, including local acts which prohibit or restrict hunting from, to or across public roads and highways and including local acts which prohibit or restrict the taking of specified animals or birds.\nProvided, however, that the provisions of this section shall not apply on the lands of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians.\n(b)\tThe provisions of this section shall not be construed to require the hiring of additional personnel by the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission.
