Stat. § 143B-1484","heading":"State Reentry Council Collaborative.","body":"(a)\tThe Secretary shall establish the State Reentry Council Collaborative (SRCC). The SRCC shall include up to two representatives from each of the following:\n(1)\tThe Division of Motor Vehicles.\n(2)\tThe Department of Health and Human Services.\n(3)\tThe Administrative Office of the Courts.\n(4)\tThe North Carolina Community College System.\n(5)\tThe Division of Community Supervision and Reentry.\n(6)\tA nonprofit entity that provides reentry services or reentry programs.\n(7)\tAny other agency that the Secretary deems relevant.\n(b)\tThe Secretary, or the Secretary's designee, shall chair the SRCC which shall meet at least quarterly upon the call of the chair. The SRCC shall study the needs of ex-offenders who have been recently released from a correctional institution and to increase the effectiveness of local reentry councils.\n(c)\tBeginning November 1, 2017, and annually thereafter, the SRCC shall report its findings and recommendations to the Joint Legislative Oversight Committee on Justice and Public Safety.
