The North Carolina Internship Council shall have the following functions and duties:\n(1)\tTo determine the number of student interns to be allocated to each of the following offices or departments:\na.\tOffice of the Governor\nb.\tDepartment of Administration\nc.\tRepealed by Session Laws 2012-83, s. 49, effective June 26, 2012.\nd.\tDepartment of Natural and Cultural Resources\ne.\tDepartment of Revenue\nf.\tDepartment of Transportation\ng.\tDepartment of Environmental Quality\nh.\tDepartment of Commerce\ni.\tDepartment of Public Safety\nj.\tDepartment of Health and Human Services\nk.\tOffice of the Lieutenant Governor\nl.\tOffice of the Secretary of State\nm.\tOffice of the State Auditor\nn.\tOffice of the State Treasurer\no.\tDepartment of Public Instruction\np.\tRepealed by Session Laws 1985, c. 757, s. 162.\nq.\tDepartment of Agriculture and Consumer Services\nr.\tDepartment of Labor\ns.\tDepartment of Insurance\nt.\tOffice of the Speaker of the House of Representatives\nu.\tJustices of the Supreme Court and Judges of the Court of Appeals\nv.\tCommunity Colleges System Office\nw.\tOffice of State Human Resources\nx.\tOffice of the Senate President Pro Tempore\ny.\tRepealed by Session Laws 2012-83, s. 49, effective June 26, 2012.\nz.\tAdministrative Office of the Courts\naa.\tState Ethics Commission\nbb.\tDivision of Employment Security\ncc.\tState Board of Elections\ndd.\tDepartment of Justice\n(2)\tTo screen applications for student internships and select from these applications the recipients of student internships; and\n(3)\tTo determine the appropriateness of proposals for projects for student interns submitted by the offices and departments enumerated in subdivision (1) of this section.
