Stat. § 147-65.1","heading":"Definitions.","body":"The following definitions apply in this Article:\n(1)\tBoard of Directors. - The Board of Directors of the North Carolina Investment Authority.\n(2)\tChief Investment Officer or CIO. - The Chief Investment Officer of the Investment Authority.\n(3)\tDepartment. - The Department of State Treasurer.\n(4)\tEscheats Fund. - The Escheats Fund established under Article 1A of Chapter 116B of the General Statutes.\n(5)\tInvestment Authority. - The North Carolina Investment Authority, established under Part 4 of this Article.\n(6)\tReserved for future codification purposes.\n(7)\tRetirement Systems. - This term includes all of the following retirement systems:\na.\tThe Teachers' and State Employees' Retirement System, established under Article 1 of Chapter 135 of the General Statutes.\nb.\tThe Consolidated Judicial Retirement System, established under Article 4 of Chapter 135 of the General Statutes.\nc.\tThe North Carolina Firefighters' and Rescue Squad Workers' Pension Fund, established under Article 86 of Chapter 58 of the General Statutes.\nd.\tThe Local Governmental Employees' Retirement System, established under Article 3 of Chapter 128 of the General Statutes.\ne.\tThe Legislative Retirement System of North Carolina, established under Article 1A of Chapter 120 of the General Statutes.\nf.\tThe North Carolina National Guard Pension Fund, established under Article 3 of Chapter 127A of the General Statutes.\ng.\tThe Registers of Deeds' Supplemental Pension Fund, established under Article 3 of Chapter 161 of the General Statutes.\nh.\tThe Retiree Health Benefit Fund, established under G.S. 135-7(f).\ni.\tThe North Carolina Teachers' and State Employees' Benefit Trust, established under G.S. 135-7(g).\n(8)\tTreasurer. - The State Treasurer.
