Stat. § 160A-910","heading":"Service area of the authority.","body":"The service area of the authority shall be as determined by the board of trustees consistent with its purpose but shall not exceed the sum of the following:\n(1)\tThe territorial jurisdiction of the authority.\n(2)\tAn area outside of the territorial jurisdiction of the authority provided that one of the following conditions is satisfied:\na.\tIf the area is within this State, the governing bodies of the political subdivisions to which service is to be extended approved by majority vote of their governing boards the extension of service into the political subdivision or the purchase of real property within the political subdivision for the extension of service.\nb.\tIf the area is in another state, the extension of service is approved by any applicable federal or State agency and in accordance with the other state's laws.
