Stat. § 160D-1307","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this Part, the following definitions apply:\n(1)\tOpen space or open area. - Any space or area characterized by great natural scenic beauty or where the existing openness, natural condition, or present state of use, if retained, would enhance the present or potential value of abutting or surrounding urban development or would maintain or enhance the conservation of natural or scenic resources. The terms also include interests or rights in real property and open space land or uses.\n(2)\tOpen space land or open space uses. - Any undeveloped or predominantly undeveloped land in an urban area that has value for or is used for one or more of the following purposes:\na.\tPark and recreational purposes.\nb.\tConservation of land and other natural resources.\nc.\tHistoric or scenic purposes.
