Stat. § 46A-2","heading":"Summons; notice included in petition.","body":"(a)\tIn partition proceedings initiated under this Chapter, the period of time for answering a summons is provided in G.S. 1-394.\n(b)\tThe petition shall include written notice in a manner reasonably calculated to make the respondent aware of the following:\n(1)\tThat the respondent has the right to seek the advice of an attorney and that free legal services may be available to the respondent by contacting Legal Aid of North Carolina or other legal services organizations.\n(2)\tThat pursuant to G.S. 46A-3, the court may order reasonable attorneys' fees to be paid as a part of the costs of the proceeding.
