Stat. § 52C-1-104","heading":"Application of Chapter to resident of foreign country and foreign support proceeding.","body":"(a)\tA tribunal of this State shall apply Articles 1 through 6 and, as applicable, Article 7 of this Chapter, to a support proceeding involving:\n(1)\tA foreign support order;\n(2)\tA foreign tribunal; or\n(3)\tAn obligee, obligor, or child residing in a foreign country.\n(b)\tA tribunal of this State that is requested to recognize and enforce a support order on the basis of comity may apply the procedural and substantive provisions of Articles 1 through 6 of this Chapter.\n(c)\tArticle 7 of this Chapter applies only to a support proceeding under the Convention. In such a proceeding, if a provision of Article 7 is inconsistent with Articles 1 through 6 of this Chapter, Article 7 controls. (2015-117, s. 1.)","path":["Chapter 52C.
