Stat. § 53-454","heading":"(Effective January 1, 2027) Consumer protection officer.","body":"Each virtual currency kiosk operator shall designate and employ a consumer protection officer with each of the following requirements:\n(1)\tThe individual must be qualified to coordinate and monitor compliance with this Article and all other applicable federal and State laws, rules, and regulations.\n(2)\tThe individual must be employed full time by the virtual currency kiosk operator.\n(3)\tThe designated consumer protection officer cannot be an individual who owns more than twenty percent (20%) of the virtual currency kiosk operator by whom the individual is employed.
