Stat. § 55D-1","heading":"Applicable definitions.","body":"The following definitions apply in this Chapter:\n(1)\t\"Corporation\" or \"domestic corporation\" is defined in G.S. 55-1-40(4).\n(2)\t\"Deliver\" is defined in G.S. 55-1-40(5).\n(3)\t\"Entity\" is defined in G.S. 55-1-40(9).\n(4)\t\"Foreign corporation\" is defined in G.S. 55-1-40(10).\n(5)\t\"Foreign limited liability company\" has the same meaning as the term \"foreign LLC\" in G.S. 57D-1-03.\n(5a)\t\"Foreign limited liability limited partnership\" is defined in G.S. 59-102(4c).\n(6)\t\"Foreign limited liability partnership\" is defined in G.S. 59-32(4g).\n(7)\t\"Foreign limited partnership\" is defined in G.S. 59-102(5).\n(8)\t\"Foreign nonprofit corporation\" means a foreign corporation as defined in G.S. 55A-1-40(11).\n(9)\t\"Individual\" is defined in G.S. 55-1-40(13).\n(10)\t\"Limited liability company\" or \"domestic limited liability company\" has the same meaning as the term \"LLC\" in G.S. 57D-1-03.\n(11)\t\"Limited liability limited partnership\" is defined in G.S. 59-102(6a).\n(12)\t\"Limited liability partnership\" or \"registered limited liability partnership\" means a registered limited liability partnership as defined in G.S. 59-32(7).\n(13)\t\"Limited partnership\" or \"domestic limited partnership\" is defined in G.S. 59-102(8).\n(14)\t\"Nonprofit corporation\" or \"domestic nonprofit corporation\" means a corporation as defined in G.S. 55A-1-40(5).\n(15)\t\"Person\" is defined in G.S. 55-1-40(16).
