Stat. § 58-33A-20","heading":"Resident license.","body":"(a)\tBefore issuing a public adjuster license to an applicant under this section, the Commissioner shall find that the applicant meets all of the following criteria:\n(1)\tIs eligible to designate this State as his or her home state or is a nonresident who is not eligible for a license under G.S. 58-33A-35.\n(2)\tHas not committed any act that is a ground for denial, suspension, or revocation of a license as set forth in G.S. 58-33A-45.\n(3)\tIs trustworthy, reliable, and of good reputation, evidence of which may be determined by the Commissioner.\n(4)\tIs financially responsible to exercise the license and has provided proof of financial responsibility as required in G.S. 58-33A-50.\n(5)\tHas paid the fees set forth in G.S. 58-33-125.\n(6)\tMaintains an office in the home state of residence with public access by reasonable appointment and/or regular business hours. This includes a designated office within a home state of residence.\n(b)\tIn addition to satisfying the requirements of subsection (a) of this section, an individual shall:\n(1)\tBe at least 18 years of age; and\n(2)\tHave successfully passed the public adjuster examination.\n(c)\tThe Commissioner may require any documents reasonably necessary to verify the information contained in the application.
