Stat. § 58-64A-295","heading":"Investigations and subpoenas.","body":"(a)\tThe Commissioner may make public or private investigations within or outside of this State as necessary to (i) determine whether any person has violated or is about to violate any provision of this Article, (ii) aid in the enforcement of this Article, or (iii) verify statements contained in any disclosure statement or other filing filed or delivered under this Article.\n(b)\tFor the purpose of any investigation or proceeding under this Article, the Commissioner may require or permit any person to file a statement in writing, under oath or otherwise, as to any of the facts and circumstances concerning the matter to be investigated.\n(c)\tFor the purpose of any investigation or proceeding under this Article, the Commissioner or the Commissioner's designee may exercise all powers granted to the Commissioner with respect to insurance companies.
