Stat. § 78C-98","heading":"Prohibited conduct.","body":"(a)\tAn athlete agent, with the intent to induce a student-athlete to enter into an agency contract, shall not:\n(1)\tGive any materially false or misleading information or make a materially false promise or representation.\n(2)\tFurnish anything of value to a student-athlete before the student-athlete enters into the agency contract.\n(3)\tFurnish anything of value to any individual other than the student-athlete or another registered athlete agent.\n(b)\tAn athlete agent shall not intentionally:\n(1)\tInitiate contact with a student-athlete unless the athlete agent is registered under this Article.\n(2)\tRefuse or fail to retain or permit inspection of the records required to be retained by G.S. 78C-97.\n(3)\tFail to register as required by G.S. 78C-88.\n(4)\tProvide materially false or misleading information in an application for registration or renewal of registration.\n(5)\tPredate or postdate an agency contract.\n(6)\tFail to notify a student-athlete before the student-athlete signs or otherwise authenticates an agency contract for a particular sport that the signing or authentication shall make the student-athlete ineligible to participate as a student-athlete in that sport.\n(c)\tIf an athlete agent is currently or was within the prior two years employed or in a contractual relationship with an educational institution, the following shall apply:\n(1)\tThe athlete agent shall not enter into an NIL agency contract with a student-athlete who is enrolled in that educational institution.\n(2)\tAn NIL agency contract is void if, following entry into an NIL agency contract, a student-athlete enrolls in that educational institution.
