Stat. § 7A-291","heading":"Additional powers of district court judges.","body":"In addition to the jurisdiction and powers assigned in this Chapter, a district court judge has the following powers:\n(1)\tTo administer oaths;\n(2)\tTo punish for contempt;\n(3)\tTo compel the attendance of witnesses and the production of evidence;\n(4)\tTo set bail;\n(5)\tTo issue arrest warrants valid throughout the State, and search warrants valid throughout the district of issue; and\n(6)\tTo issue all process and orders necessary or proper in the exercise of his powers and authority, and to effectuate his lawful judgments and decrees.
