Stat. § 88B-20","heading":"Fees required.","body":"(a)\tThe Board may charge the applicant the actual cost of preparation, administration, and grading of examinations for cosmetologists, apprentices, manicurists, estheticians, natural hair care specialist, or teachers, in addition to its other fees.\n(b)\tThe Board may charge application fees as follows:\n(1)\tInspection of a newly established cosmetic art shop\t$ 25.00\n(2)\tReciprocity applicant under G.S. 88B-13\t$ 15.00.\n(c)\tThe Board may charge license fees as follows:\n(1)\tCosmetologist\t$ 39.00 every 3 years\n(2)\tApprentice\t$ 10.00 per year\n(3)\tEsthetician\t$ 10.00 per year\n(4)\tManicurist\t$ 10.00 per year\n(4a)\tNatural hair care specialist\t$ 10.00 per year\n(5)\tTeacher\t$ 10.00 every 2 years\n(6)\tCosmetic art shop per active booth\t$ 3.00 per year\n(7)\tCosmetic art school\t$ 50.00 per year\n(8)\tDuplicate license\t$ 1.00.\n(d)\tThe Board may require payment of late fees and reinstatement fees as follows:\n(1)\tApprentice, cosmetologist, esthetician, manicurist,\nnatural hair care specialist, and teacher late renewal\t$ 10.00\n(2)\tCosmetic art schools and shops late renewal\t$ 10.00\n(3)\tReinstatement - cosmetic art schools and shops\t$ 25.00.\n(e)\tThe Board may prorate fees as appropriate.
