Stat. § 88B-25","heading":"Exemptions.","body":"The following persons are exempt from the provisions of this Chapter while engaged in the proper discharge of their professional duties:\n(1)\tUndertakers and funeral establishments licensed under G.S. 90-210.25.\n(2)\tPersons authorized to practice medicine or surgery under Chapter 90 of the General Statutes.\n(3)\tNurses licensed under Chapter 90 of the General Statutes.\n(4)\tCommissioned medical or surgical officers of the United States Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Space Force, or Coast Guard.\n(5)\tA person employed in a cosmetic art shop whose duties are expressly confined to the shampooing or blow drying of hair, provided that the person shall comply with rules adopted by the Board relating to sanitary management of cosmetic art shops.
