Stat. § 89F-7","heading":"Exemptions.","body":"(a)\tExcept as provided in subsection (b) of this section, any person who practices or offers to practice soil science in this State is subject to the provisions of this Chapter.\n(b)\tThe following are exempt from the provisions of this Chapter:\n(1)\tPersons engaged solely in teaching soil science or engaged solely in soil science research.\n(2)\tOfficers and employees of the United States, the State, and units of local government who practice soil science solely in the capacity of their office or employment.\n(3)\tOfficers and employees of companies engaged in the practice of soil science, when the officers and employees practice soil science solely in the capacity of their employment and who do not offer their services to the public for hire.
