Stat. § 90-21.101","heading":"Findings.","body":"(a)\tThe General Assembly makes the following findings:\n(1)\tAccess to high-quality health care services is a concern of all persons.\n(2)\tAccess to high-quality health care services may be limited for some residents of this State, particularly those who reside in remote, rural areas or in the inner city.\n(3)\tPhysicians and other health care providers have traditionally worked to ensure broad access to health care services.\n(4)\tMany health care providers from North Carolina and elsewhere are willing to volunteer their services to address the health care needs of North Carolinians who may otherwise not be able to obtain high-quality health care services.\n(b)\tThe General Assembly further finds that it is the public policy of this State to encourage and facilitate the voluntary provision of health care services.
