Code § 14-08.1-05.1","heading":"Past-due support - Plan of payment - Work activities","body":"1.In any case in which an individual owes past-due child support, the court may, by order, require the individual to:\na.Pay past-due support in accordance with a plan approved by the court or the child support agency;\nb.If the individual is subject to such a plan and is not incapacitated, to participate in such work activities as the court deems appropriate; and\nc.Participate in treatment for mental illness or drug or alcohol dependency.\n2.For purposes of this section, \"work activities\" may include:\na.Unsubsidized employment;\nb.Subsidized private sector employment;\nc.Subsidized public sector employment;\nd.Work experience, including work associated with the refurbishing of publicly assisted housing, if sufficient private sector employment is not available;\ne.On-the-job training;\nf.Job search and job readiness assistance;\ng.Community service programs;\nh.Career and technical education training, not to exceed twelve months with respect to any individual;\ni.Job skills training directly related to employment;\nj.Education directly related to employment, in the case of an individual who has not received a high school diploma or a certificate of high school equivalency;\nk.Satisfactory attendance at secondary school or in a course of study leading to a certificate of general equivalence, in the case of an individual who has not completed secondary school or received such a certificate;\nl.The provision of child care services to an individual who is participating in a community service program; and\nm.Postsecondary education and any other activity permitted or required to be treated by the federal government as work for purposes of calculating a work participation rate.","path":["Title 14 Domestic Relations And Persons","Chapter 14-08.1 Civil Remedies For Child Support"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t14c08-1.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"ff62227904779c0f220ac5880566bde59ebadd20b8481f14cb1cc99611fe6bbc","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-14-08.1-05","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-14-08.1-06"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
