Code § 14-14.2-05","heading":"Contents of petition","body":"A petition under this chapter must be verified and include a copy of any existing child- custody determination, if available. The petition must specify the risk factors for abduction, including the relevant factors described in section 14-14.2-06. Subject to section 14-12.2-24, if reasonably ascertainable, the petition must contain:\n1.The name, date of birth, and gender of the child;\n2.The customary address and current physical location of the child;\n3.The identity, customary address, and current physical location of the respondent;\n4.A statement of whether a prior action to prevent abduction or domestic violence has been filed by a party or other individual or entity having custody of the child, and the date, location, and disposition of the action;\n5.A statement of whether a party to the proceeding has been arrested for a crime related to domestic violence, stalking, or child abuse or neglect, and the date, location, and disposition of the case; and\n6.Any other information required to be submitted to the court for a child-custody determination under section 14-14.1-20.","path":["Title 14 Domestic Relations And Persons","Chapter 14-14.2 Uniform Child Abduction Prevention Act"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t14c14-2.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"4da9d0987cb69f1d8116e2a2bee00b893daa1fe2ad45b212530b3af966c6817f","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-14-14.2-04","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-14-14.2-06"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
