Code § 26.1-02-30","heading":"Consumer assistance records - Confidential","body":"1.Personal, financial, or health information related to requests for consumer assistance received by the commissioner is a confidential record as defined in section 44-04-17.1.\n2.As used in this section, \"personal, financial, or health information\" means information that would reveal:\na.An individual's personal health condition, disease, or injury;\nb.The existence, nature, source, or amount of an individual's personal income;\nc.The existence, nature, source, or amount of an individual's personal expenses;\nd.Records of or relating to an individual's personal financial transactions of any kind;\ne.The existence, identification, nature, or value of an individual's personal assets, liabilities, or net worth;\nf.A history of an individual's personal medical diagnosis or treatment;\ng.The existence, identification, nature, value, or content of an individual's coverage or status under any insurance policy;\nh.An individual's personal contractual rights or obligations; or\ni.Any social security number, date of birth, file number, bank account number, or other number used for identification of an individual or any account in which an individual has a personal financial interest.\n3.The name of a regulated entity that is the subject of a complaint or inquiry is not \"personal, financial, or health information\" and is not subject to the restrictions in this section.","path":["Title 26.1 Insurance","Chapter 26.1-02 General Provisions"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t26-1c02.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"34f655f4f6323f318b0618cb172c472ed9d8caa20112fc12f1647297f3036367","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-26.1-02-29","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-26.1-02-31"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
