(Repealed effective December 31, 2027)","body":"As used in this chapter:\n1.\"Association\" means the comprehensive health association of North Dakota.\n2.\"Board\" means the comprehensive health association of North Dakota board of directors.\n3.\"Creditable coverage\" means, with respect to an individual, coverage under chapter 26.1-08.\n4.\"Guaranteed issue\" means an issuer may not:\na.Deny or condition the issuance or effectiveness of a Medicare supplement policy that is offered and is available for issuance to new enrollees by the issuer;\nb.Discriminate in the pricing of such a Medicare supplement policy because of health status, claims experience, receipt of health care, or medical condition; or\nc.Impose an exclusion of benefits based on a pre-existing condition under such a Medicare supplement policy.\n5.\"Lead carrier\" means the insurance company selected by the board to administer the association benefit plans.","path":["Title 26.1 Insurance","Chapter 26.1-08.1 Cessation Of Comprehensive Health Association"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t26-1c08-1.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"b42fe9724088dde3e79d38068dfdf3230908bb00cf4323a8d2f8d153fc6c6025","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-26.1-08-14","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-26.1-08.1-02"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
