Code § 26.1-26-31","heading":"Term of license","body":"A license issued under this chapter continues in force in perpetuity unless:\n1.The license is suspended, revoked, or refused by the commissioner;\n2.The licensee voluntarily consents to the suspension, revocation, or refusal of the license;\n3.The licensee dies or in the case of a business entity, the licensee is dissolved, consolidated, merged, or otherwise has ceased to exist;\n4.The licensee no longer meets the residence requirements of section 26.1-26-19;\n5.The individual resident licensee fails to comply with continuing education requirements of this chapter;\n6.The individual licensee fails to file the biennial continuation and pay the fee;\n7.The surplus lines insurance producer has failed to maintain a resident or nonresident license as an insurance producer as required by section 26.1-26-17, or has failed to pay the annual renewal fee to the commissioner; or\n8.The insurance consultant has failed to pay the annual renewal fee to the commissioner.","path":["Title 26.1 Insurance","Chapter 26.1-26 Insurance Producers And Consultants"],"source_url":"https://ndlegis.gov/cencode/t26-1c26.pdf","current_through":"2026-07-31T11:12:02","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T21:04:14Z","sha256":"23dedec063ffddd87bd199d959d9b497c3ec45216d8ea1211ea950cf73c61916","source_id":"us-nd","stale":true,"prev":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-26.1-26-30.1","next":"us-nd/n.d.-cent.-code-26.1-26-31.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
